Building relationships has been the foundation and key to success throughout Chad Molleken’s career. His ability to identify and foster strong relationships is the guiding force behind Chad’s rapid rise to the executive ranks and the backbone of his worldwide network of business associates.
Chad started his career at the United States Consulate General office in Calgary where he assisted American companies find their footing in the lucrative Western Canadian market. Through locating distributors, agents, brokers and even customers, Chad had a hand in the success of many American companies in Canada. In addition to this work, Chad conducted numerous market research studies which resulted in the publishing of ten international market insight reports dealing with various industries.
After his work with the United States Consulate General, Chad moved onto Calgary Economic Development (CED). As part of his work at CED, Chad worked closely with high-tech companies to attract investment, expand their offerings and retain existing business. He managed a very active, and targeted, business outreach program and fostered strategic partnerships and relationships with key organizations, industry and government bodies.
Chad continued to hone his management skills as the Director of Business Development for PDL Mobility & Call Centres. He managed a corporate and retail sales team of 25 people in Calgary and Ontario. During his time at PDL, Chad developed a successful, and ongoing, training program for the sales staff and lead his team to expand revenue growth by more than $5 million in sales.
His last stop before joining Rainmaker was with the British Trade Office in Calgary, Alberta as its director. He continued his successful work of building strong relationships with the local government and business leaders on the British government’s behalf. He organized executive trade missions and liaised with British companies looking to expand into Canada and Canadian companies looking to invest in the United Kingdom.
Upon joining Rainmaker, Chad was given the responsibility of opening the UK Office and immediately begun sourcing new clients on Rainmaker’s behalf and forging even stronger ties with global companies, governments and strategic partners. Over the last three years Chad has been instrumental in guiding Rainmaker’s strategic vision and global connectivity. With offices now in Calgary, London, Houston, New York, Toronto and Dubai Rainmaker continues to expand its Global reach.
Chad keeps an active lifestyle and is involved with numerous committees, boards and charities including coordinating Canada Day in London, is a member of the marketing committee for the Canada UK Chamber of Commerce, is a trustee for the Foundation for Canadian Studies and is a board member for the World Youth Education Trust.
