Global Executive Reception
and Business Development Seminars

From June 9-11 this year, Rainmaker, HSBC and BLG joined ranks to put on two great events at GO EXPO Gas & Oil Exposition. During each day of the show, we held Business Development Seminars; Building your Toolkit for Success in the mornings, and Exploring new Markets in the afternoons. On Wednesday, June 10th we organized the Global Executive Reception, along with Enterprise Saskatchewan, and introduced international executives from around the globe to local influencers in the energy sector.

Our sponsors held the Business Development Seminars at GO EXPO this year to test out whether or not show delegates and exhibitors were interested in learning how to grow their business internationally. The seminars were a success, drawing in crowds intently willing to listen to local and international experts give advice and share their international business development experience.

At the Global Executive Reception we had the pleasure of introducing our Mayor, Dave Bronconnier, and Chris Bloomer, Director of the In Situ Oil Sands Alliance, and Senior VP and COO, heavy oil at Petrobank Energy and Resources. Bloomer presented the new technologies and innovations Albertans are putting forth to enhance the recovery of the oil sands. Attendees from Australia, UK, UAE, Russia, South Korea, Mexico, Germany, France, Cuba, China, Kuwait, Iraq, and US learned that Alberta can provide much needed insight to the global energy community.
