Rainmaking: A Splash across the pond
London is the leading financial centre of the world, a magnet for foreign investment, a soft landing for the European market and much more. Its diversity in arts, culture, entertainment and business has something to offer all that have plans to expand their organization internationally. Rainmaker’s vision is to become a true Global company, with active offices in 10 high growth economic centres of the world by 2010. London is our first overseas office.
Chad Molleken, former Director of the British Trade Office in Calgary, was a natural fit for the UK position. Working with Board Member and former British Diplomat Ian Kydd, and partnering with Quintero Homes of Calgary, the UK Rainmaker team has made a outstanding start in representing first class organizations in the UK market place.
Rainmaker has been successfully growing its presence in the UK and has recently signed on three UK companies that are looking to grow their business in Alberta. We will represent and work alongside these companies to ensure their success in one of the most thriving markets in North America. The Canada-UK connection has been very strong and will continue to grow in the coming months and years.
If your company or organization is looking to do business in Canada or the UK please do not hesitate to contact one of our Rainmakers today.

On the Ground in Alberta
It is no news to Albertans how fast their province is growing. On the ground in Alberta the pace is quick and the entrepreneurial spirit contagious. Albertans are hard-working over-achievers fuelled by an oil and natural gas industry on the rise. Rainmaker Global Business Development’s head office is located in Calgary, Alberta, the home of every major oil and gas company in Canada which makes this city truly the very core of the Canadian Energy Sector.
Calgary’s economy ranks 1st in Canada, with an estimated Real GDP growth rate of 6.9% in 2006 and 4.2% in 2007. Calgary’s growth is anticipated to continue from 2008-2011, at an annual Real GDP rate of 3.8%. Along with growth comes expansion, and this is where Rainmaker enters the picture.
Rainmaker Global Business Development provides business development services and local representation to companies and organizations expanding into new geographic markets. We help our clients achieve success by connecting them with decision makers, brokering deals on their behalf, raising their profile through strategic event planning and implementation, and identifying potential acquisition targets. We specialize in fast tracking the market-entry process for our clients and eliminating the obstacles common to global business development, including lack of local knowledge and relationships. Our business model is built around the importance of having well developed relationships and a formal on-the-ground presence when expanding into a new region.
On the Ground in Alberta, and now in the UK, Rainmaker connects you to the global market.
